Soumitra Thakur

Soumitra Thakur began his journey in Indian Classical Music at age four, training in Sitar under his uncle, Shri Prashanta Thakur, from the Bishnupur Gharana. He further developed his skills under Ustad Rashid Khan and is currently studying with Pt. Kushal Das of the Maihar Gharana. A gold medalist in both his Master's and MPhil in Music from the University of Delhi, Soumitra co-founded The Pink Lotus Academia to promote art and culture globally. He also leads Rasa Siddhi, a collective dedicated to reviving the historic tradition of Baithak concerts for music enthusiasts.
