Sarfaraaz Khan, born on January 29, 1996, in Dharwad, hails from a distinguished lineage of musicians rooted in the Kirana Gharana. His grandfather, Ustad Abdul Quader Khan, was a renowned Sarangi maestro, while his father, Ustad Faiyaz Khan, is a notable vocalist and Sarangi player. Sarfaraaz began his training at age four under his father's guidance and is currently mentored by the legendary Pt. Ramnarayan. An accomplished artist, he has won several awards, including the AIR National Award and the Inspiring Indian Youth Icon Award. Sarfaraaz is recognized as the only Sarangi player in South India performing pure classical and film music.
