Jay Oliver

Jay Russell Oliver (born April 26, 1959) is an accomplished American jazz musician, composer, record producer, programmer, and engineer. He began his professional career at 19 as the youngest member of Maynard Ferguson's band. Over the years, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Sheryl Crow, The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, and Chick Corea. Based in Los Angeles, Oliver has worked extensively in various genres, including jazz fusion and world music. In 2011, he founded SmartWav, a company focused on using sound for infant brain development. His versatile skills continue to make him a sought-after figure in the music industry.
